Bangor Pool enthusiasts John Lowry and Sam Newell from SHOOTERS POOL HALL and THE KINGFISHER BAR respectively, have announced details of the new "NI BLACKBALL POOL TOUR" they are running. There are 3 categories, MENS, LADIES and SENIORS. For the Seniors players must have been 41 or over on January 1st 2011. This rises to 42 or over on January 1st 2012. Scoring system per event
Winner 15 , Runner up 12 , Semis 9, Quarters 6, Last sixteen 3, Any wins before last sixteen 1
Players receive 1 bonus point for each event they participate in.
> Top 16 from Mens Tour and Top 16 from Seniors Tour will play off in Finals Day for the cash prizes (players 17th-32nd will play in the plate) 1st will play 16th, 2nd plays 15th and so on.
> Top 8 from the Ladies Tournament will play off in Finals Day for the cash prizes (players 9th - 32nd will play in the plate) 1st will play 8th, 2nd plays 7th and so on.
> Players must confirm entry 1 week before events to be in the draw, £20 entry per event, open draw made on the Friday before play. Players can pay for next event at on the day of current event.
> A £10 fine will be incurred for non attendance, this must be paid before player enters another event. In extreme cases 24 hours notice of non attendance must be given.
> Tournaments start at 11:00am sharp.
> All quoted prize money is based on 64 Men, 20 Ladies and 32 Seniors entries. Prize fund may go up or down according to numbers.
> All Mens & Seniors players must enter a minimum of 6 events to play in Finals Week, 5 for Ladies
> Dress code - Dressy trousers, shirt with collar, dress shoes (No jean type trousers, football shirts/ logos or trainers)
